Responsibilities:
- Focus on the backend part of our on-premise product, managing DBs
- Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
- Setting technical direction for testing Severalnines software
- Design, develop and execute automation scripts
- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
- Identify, record and track bugs
- Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
- A great opportunity for a skilled QA engineer to self-realize through the freedom of decisions (QA strategies, tools, languages, etc.)
Requirements:
Must-have Skills and Experience:
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
- Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Solid hands-on experience in test automation and scripting
- Linux background (administration, Bash) !
- Solid experience with virtualization
- Solid experience working with Continuous Integration and Delivery tools (Jenkins, TeamCity, etc.)
- Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases
Nice-to-have Skills and Experience:
- Experience working with test management tools such as TestRail or similar
- Experience with Python and/ or JavaScript, C is a bonus.
- Experience working with Jira, Confluence or similar
- Experience with Git
